Newcomers to internet marketing get a raw deal. A nauseating amount of hype, complicated by the never-ending cross-promotion of everyone else’s products, and total lack of coherence and organization of the industry makes it difficult to even get started.
Many aren’t sure who to trust and where to start without getting bamboozled with weekly spam dressed up as a “newsletter.”
I am not an internet marketer. I am a blogger who has an interest in internet marketing for a long time. And I wanted to create a space where frank discussion can happen in an industry where it doesn’t happen often enough.
On this blog, the mission and manifesto is to be in your corner first and foremost. And to that end, you’ll find that its a little different than most blogs on internet marketing.
Here’s how.
1. just the facts
You won’t find hype here. Just reporting of the facts as I see them, which will be sprinkled with some strong opinion. I don’t have a stake in promoting anything, and my first priority is you.
2. no affiliates, no advertising
You won’t find me shilling for anyone. That means that I won’t be accepting advertising, and I won’t be lacing our links with affiliate links. You will never need to fear that the opinions on this blog are compromised by the promise of fat affiliate checks.
3. organized, current and useful
I’m going to try and be as organized and systematic as possible. That means being up to date. And that means not hiding the dates of articles we publish. It also means listing multiple resources when we can, so you can determine for yourself if what we’re writing about holds water.
So what’s in it for you?
What am I going to get out of a blog that accepts no advertising and that doesn’t promote affiliate links? I’ll be frank with you. I don’t think that this blog deserves to be profitable until it proves to you that its of some value to the community at large.
When I’m convinced that’s happening I will let you know what happens next.
