One thing I absolutely loathe about Internet Marketing is the lazy reliance on videos and audio to beef up the perceived value of a given product — RATHER than providing succinct and well organized written information. As in words. Or, if they’re going the route of video / audio NOT providing some kind of meaningful transcription.
But even THEN, it often lacks the clarity of a well written piece on the topic, and, as my old Latin professor used to say, comes out much like a Proper Dog’s Breakfast, with a lot of meanderings and maunderings that could often be summarized in a few quick sentences.
To battle this phenomenon and to create a service to YOU, I am introducing a new category of posts called “ShowNotes” that are my hand-typed notes of various video and audio lessons / pitches / hype that you will see on these interwebs, hopefully sparing you the time and drudgery of having to listen and / or watch the entire show.
As a rule, my own thoughts will be in italics … otherwise, you can also add your own comments as always.
Facetiousness aside, I like to bookmark useful, meaty, pitch-less emails as they are so far and few between. Following the update on the FTC changes as how they affect internet marketers, I got an email along said guidelines by Andrew and Steven X of MyClickBankBusiness, which is so useful I think its probably worthwhile re-printing in its entirety. Please note the disarmingly genuine honesty, lack of affiliate laden URLs, and otherwise helpful information gratis and free of charge.
